A Moment

 

It’s hard to take a moment,

To take a seat and think,

About all the wonderful things you do,

Time passes in a blink.

 

This morning I got up early,

To catch a few raw thoughts,

Write them onto this paper,

Say a thank you of some sort.

 

For all the wonderful things you do,

From helping with our boys,

To cooking when I’m shattered,

And sorting out the toys.

 

You’re more than just a husband,

A lover and a friend,

You are our babies Daddy,

And my soulmate to the end.

 

Five years have passed in marriage,

Thirteen in the whole,

It’s hard to believe in just a glance,

You’ve really touched my soul.

 

You’re stuck with me, I’m afraid,

With my tantrums and my stress,

And with our boys and their energy,

Their fighting and their mess!

 

And so we all look forward,

To more years of love and fun,

Happy fifth anniversary babe and Daddy,

Love from me and everyone xx
