Little boys

Little boys are allowed to cry in pain,
To feel lonely and scared too,
They're allowed to want a cwtch to feel safe,
Well wouldn't you want one too?

Little boys are not made of slime and snails,
They're made of love and laughs and fun,
They deserve to grow up and be themselves,
Just the same as anyone!

Little boys are not all born bad,
Not pre-disposed to get an ASBO,
They are sweet and helpful and oh so kind,
Something that not everyone would know.

Little boys take it all on board,
Cruel words can crush their heart,
So if we want a future of gentlemen,
Let's get it right, right from the start.

Little boys also need to cry,
So don't tell them just to stop,
They have every right to feel upset,
So do not tell them they do not.

Little boys need to be encouraged too,
It does not come, 'too easy', for them,
Don't forget they are still little boys,
They have not yet grown into gentlemen.

Little boys grow up so fast,
If you blink their childhood's gone,
So encourage them to find themselves,
Each and every one.

Little boys are like a sponge,
They soak up all they see,
They learn how to behave and live their life,
From people like you and me.

Little boys can be moulded though,
Into fantastic gentlemen,
So invest time and love to help them grow,
So they'll pass it down to generations all again.

So STOP TELLING THEM TO MAN UP NOW!

It means nothing
It's belittling
It's cruel and soul destroying
It leads to a generation that cannot deal with or express their emotions, that are afraid to feel.

And too many men have lost their lives to suicide, feeling they were all alone and afraid of their own emotions.

Little boys and men young and old, you are enough, you do deserve love and you have every right to feel sad, please don't suffer alone, believe in yourself, you are amazing! xx
