Christmas Time

The Christmas time,

I hope you’ll see.

Many presents under,

The Christmas tree.

Belgian chocolates,

Jumpers galore!

Make a carpet,

On the wooden floor.

Next year will bring,

A wind of change.

Your life will start,

To rearrange.

In some years time,

Your life cycle slows.

Just like that,

Of a summer’s rose.

The years go by,

We will grow old;

Then begin to feel,

The winter cold.

You sit at home,

Watching your T.V.

I hope you will,

Remember me.

Christmas Party Guide

This Christmas time,

Is full of cheer,

A roasted turkey,

With lots of beer.

Visiting family,

Receiving gifts,

Socks again,

This is the pits!

Freezing nights,

Wrap up warm,

Then go fall over,

On your own lawn!

Party hard,

On Christmas eve,

The stroke of midnight,

Start to heave.

Don’t get up,

On Christmas day,

Stay in your bed,

Until middle May!

When you emerge,

Do not get distressed,

One quick wash,

You will be refreshed.

Keep your eyes,

On the floor,

Count the steps,

To the door.

If you need to,

Make a run,

The bog is occupied,

By your mum!

Your Christmas dinner,

Now is two,

The consistency of,

Your Granny’s stew.

Back to bed,

Now close your eyes,

Comfort your mum,

With lots of lies.

‘It’s just a bug,

Or something I ate’,

She doesn’t know,

You stayed out so late.

Under the quilt,

Just be still,

Any movement,

Will sure make you ill.

Drums are playing,

Under your bed,

All that talking,

Hurts your head.

Take some water,

A tablet too,

Then go lay down,

Next to the loo.

The effects will last,

For the rest of the week,

But be reassured,

It’s reached its peak!

Christmas

Creep downstairs,

To take a peek,

While the house,

Is still asleep.

Christmas presents,

Line the hall,

The house looks like,

A shopping mall.

Little eyes,

Stare around,

At the presents,

On the ground.

Their eyes alive,

They smile aloud,

To the joy,

Of the family crowd.

Opening teddy,

Books, a doll,

Christmas,

Really takes its toll.

In the windows,

Daddy sleeps,

While the children,

Play for keeps.
